New classifications are out and I've stayed the same in everything I think its year 13 in A class. Mind you the way the cutoffs rise I will drop into B in the end.

There are some folk charging into AA after just two or three years. For the very keen / lucky enough, the ability to quite easily shoot 100+ shoots per year (now with all the midweek additional events) means rapid progress.

I went down in Sportrap, a bad run of it.  Stayed the same in everything else.

Took me 4 years from first reg to get into AA,got there then panicked and dropped back into A,back into AA now and in fifth year of reg shooting.aim to do more as i probably only shoot 25ish shoots on a classification.had an absolute shocker at Westfield Sunday so fingers crossed it was just a blip.?

Stayed in B, with an increased average.  Happy with that for this year.  Hope to be nudging closer to A by the end of next year.

I also had a bad time at sportrap this qualification, thought I would have dropped down but haven't for some reason. Managed to hang in there for A class sporting though.

Shows how things can change.  At the last change I’d got to 77.42 but then all my good  ones disappeared and just had a bad run in which included a chunk of time without my own gun and then the new gun so down I went.

To go down a class, you have to have shot 300 targets minimum during the period.

Shot 300 Will, 1 of which became a dropper because it was 10% below 'raw average'. Can only assume that, that makes it 200 targets for the period and not enough to go down?? Yet once you have a qualification in any discipline you only need to shoot 100 targets to go up a class.

Always wondered why they do not use a 300 adj target minimum for going up also
I guess they view going up as a disadvantage, while down is an advantage, future winnings wise.. Also you could argue that if you can shoot one high score you must be able to shoot to that standard, whereas anybody could have one bad day and not deserve to drop down. All guesswork from me..

Ive, happily, stayed in B class for a second period. I’m about 1% off A class so I would hope to go up next time.

Lots to work on over the cold months ready for next year.

Me too I am happy to stay in B.  I lost a few percent during the gun shenanigans but now I am making it back up.

Remember folks an average is a by product of you enjoying your shooting , not the other way around .

it is great to see a lot of you as my regular customers and see the improvement you are all making though

Stayed in A class for ESP which was my main target. My average went up slightly - not sure how as scores been rather intermittent and felt like I have been wallowing near the bottom but my average is bang in the middle.

Do you have to shoot at least 300 to get a class - I just read that as meaning in order to request a temporary classification? It would seem so as I only did 100 in STR and they have my average as 92% so was concerned I would be lumped into AAA from one good score.

Reading the system info, it seems you have to shoot 500 targets to get a first time full classification. I know that once you are classified, you will then be judged on just 1 score for future classification periods however.

You need to shoot 300 targets in a period to gain a temporary classification for use within that current period,  if you only shoot 100 targets in a period this will put you in a class at the close of said period, 92 in Sportrap is a AAA score so yes very well shot, in AAA you go

Will I read that as that 500 figure is used by CPSA for calculating cut off points, nothing to do with individual who can and a large number are, classed on just 100 targets shot
