After 6 Months with this Beretta 686 I have decided to try something different.

It's not that I think changing will improve my shooting, it's just I am still new to the sport and think It's worth playing the field as such...

So, it has come down to 2 guns, The MK38 Sporter or the MK70 Sporter , Both GD5.

Essentially the same price.

Both shoot pretty much the same also.

I know the technical differences, but have any of you any personal experiences with these two ?, good or bad..

Wez.

Mk38 Wes :) ... I went from Beretta's to a Miroku Mk 38 and don't regret it one bit .

Not a lot to choose between the two really. The 38 is more of a dedicated clay gun than the 70. IIRC the 70 has a slightly different stock shape and size. Both are solid guns and a sporterised trap 38 is one of my personal favourites. If you are looking to buy new then check out the s/h Perazzi market. That way you will avoid spending loads of dosh on getting to the end of a journey that has an inescapable destination. Ha, ha, ha...stand back with tin helmet on.

MK38 trap (sporterized) are very good all round guns, I shoot mine at everything including skeet. They are work horses and so far, touch wood, mine has never missed a beat. You can do a look with them, open the chokes, make it multi choke, change the forend and if required adjustable comb. There are loads of them in the country so replacing them is quite easy and parts are readily available.

Ok Ok, so he buys one, or maybe a few, of those nice formula one Perazzi's, then one day ends up shooting a Mirook, a great many of us have done just that!

There's a very nice MK 38 on here that would probably suit you down to the ground if it hasn't been sold.

Deposit Paid :)

Succesfully sold my Mountain Bike I built to raise the extra cash, and gun bought :santaclaus:

Grade 5 MK38 Sporter Teague Special 30"

Probably gonna need it fitted now !

Anyone good and cheap for that, cus I got nothing left after buying this !

Can't collect it until the bike guy comes back from holidays with the remaining dosh, so will clean the Beretta and leave it in cabinet until then..

Back to the drawing board probably for the first few months, can't wait though

Nice one wez you can join the mirook club now, Nigel Teague fitted mine for me was only about £60, but it all depends on how much needs doing. Best gun I have ever had!!
