My local ground and the place that I had my first taster session which got me into the sport. It's a shame they are having to move grounds.

I hope Dan and Emily have continued success! Will have to make the trip up to the new grounds.

The big question for us Orston regulars will be as to what they do with their new ground.

Will it drift away from registered shoots and more into the corporate scene? will they keep it as it is? Will they do a bit of both? Will they put a massive high tower up (hopefully)?

Firstly as a "local" it's a great shame that they have to close, cannot have been a decision taken lightly, Daniel and his team have always been hardworking, friendly and approachable and like many I wish them every success wherever they are off too.

Clay shooting needs grounds like Prescott, they took in a huge amount of guests on an "introduction to clay shooting" type days and I'd imagine quite a few kept with it, recreationally or competition wise. Aware the registered and other competition shoots didn't please everyone, however as one can see on this site, quite a few grounds have that issue.

Again, to Dan and team all the very best, wherever that takes you

hope all parties concerned  have continued success  , hope orston  reg shoots continue as its my local ground  ,  we will have to hang fire and see what happens .

I hope Dan leaves 'that bloody hightower' in Gloucestershire. I have lost count of the boxes of cartridges I had to go through to get the hang of nailing those!

Thank you everyone for your kind words, it has been a very difficult decision but one that had to be made due to further planning costs and lack of long term security in the land..

myself and Emily are in the advanced stages of purchasing Orston of which we both are extremely excited about.

Full details will will be released very soon and we will be at the British Shooting Show where all our plans will be made public.

I can guarantee that nothing will change apart from more of what Charlie, Linda and Rob have been doing very well the past 20yrs..

No prommices regarding the high tower tho ;)

hope to see you all up there in the not too distant future.

thanks to everyone who supported us at Prescott, we will be closing it down on 27th Feb 16 but continuing with the sporting agency and sim game days in the area.

many thanks Dan
