I had another commitment in Eastbourne Sunday morning so had to limit the day to a quick round at Normanhurst on the way back home.

Fibre only. 50 birds and a couple of challenging targets they turned out to be! 3 sim pairs out of the 5 and everything except the last stand with a bit of distance to it, Not to be left out the last stand included a deceptive midi that turned to vapour when hit as it was so close but had a lot of people fooled and most escaped to fight again!

Got talked into having a go at the DTL layout and escaped with a not too shabby 55x75. Must try some more of that discipline but Light Full , Improved Modified and 32 inch barrels are not ideal I think!

I last shot Normanhurst about a year ago and forgot what a nice crowd it was.

I thought it was a good shoot today.  Stands 2? and 3 were the challenging ones I think.  The high looper (second bird on Stand 2) was a fair way out and was moving across quicker than it seemed.  Needed a lot more lead than I originally thought it would.  The challenge on Stand 3 for me hitting the higher bird of the simo pair on the drop.   The second L/R crosser on the last stand was actually a mini (rather than a midi).

I was happy with my 39 and a few of us reckoned that anyone hitting over 42 would have done well.

Was a gorgeous morning there today Ben and they had a couple of really good tough stands.  Steve did well on the DTL with a PB of 58.
