First time for me at Owls lodge today, and must say what a good set up it is.

Meet up with Robo,Tony, and Andy from here.

First lay out was out the back of the club house to the right, with two targets coming from the left off of a tower, one coming off the bank in front of you slightly l/r and dropping,on from the right, and the last from the right quartering away. (21)

Second lay out was on the trench/dtl range.with two targets coming from the right from a similar position one low and one high,a l/r rabbit.two coming from the left one showing a bit of belly and the other fast quartering away. (18)

Third lay out on the skeet range this one had a straight up in air about 25yds out, a battue from the right, and one from low house of the skeet range, two coming from the bottom of the high house on sitting up quite nice, the other quite fast and crossing. This was the worse layout for me and struggled to get my head round it. (15)

Finally lay out four, and it p***ed down undeterred off we went, with a sraight away bird hardly breaking the hieght of the bank, two birds comming from the right one not to bad the other low and fast which had to be shot quick or it was into the bank, and two from the right one sitting up well and the other fast r/l rising up over the top of the bank. (19)

A very good shoot today and even better as i finished on 73 (P.B. for sportrap).

Thanks to Richard and Tanya for a very enjoyable day.

First time at Sport Trap for me ... think I will stick to Sporting ! ;)

Well shot Tiptop ... good gang out today, shame it had to rain on the last layout and as always a pleasure to shoot at OLSS , just a shame I couldn't do it justice .
I ended up on a lowly 60 which was well off the pace ... will I try Sport Trap again .. you bet I will !.. Just have to get used to them order boards and where the traps are ! :)

Well shot tiptop...and robo I struggle too remember where clays coming from too etc so I know where ya coming from mate....

It might have helped us all if Richard had ordered the right type of weather and turned the wind machines off. :sarcastic:

My low 55 was also a PB ..

Good session at OLSS, as always, even though I completely screwed up the first layout!  Never hit one of the C bird off the bank!  Got it together a bit from there on, but the damage was done!  Still dropped silly ones here and there, and the pissing rain at the last layout lost me 4 cuz I couldn't see through me rain-lashed bins!

Still, shot a PB of 69, which I'm happy with considering it was only my 3rd STR attempt.  Good company as always, and a great brekkie before we started!  :nyam:
