Oxfordshire gunshop closing down

Just been looking on Adenbourne fieldsports web site and noticed that a lot of their guns are being advertised with a closing down sale price.

Hope this is not a sign of the times.

It is worrying, the place in Caversham closed down a while back - troubled times.

Adenbourne are great guys with great service, I bought my first gun from them.

The rumour a while back was that the shop/landowner had sold up or would not renew the lease as there was re-developement planned for that area of Witney.

Wonder if they will carry on trading somewhere else.

Just looked on their site again they are definitely closing down by the 31st July 2012.

All stock must go.

I suspect you may be on the money. Hard times ahead for the Country and many shooters I think.

That said some gunshops are flourishing. I know of a couple in the East Midlands that have built or are planning extensions. As far as my local gunshops concerned, business is booming.

Heard a rumor about this around xmas, decent enough shop. was in there a month back and looked like they were winding stock levels down

sad news … just hope we don't get to a state where you have to get everything offline … just wouldn't be the same
