I want to email a friend a pic or screenshot of a area on a map the area is a mile or so diameter and I want to draw / highlight the boundaries but cant work out how to do it ?

Screenshot the map copy it into MS paint and then you should be able to do what you want with it.

Use snipping tool, it has markup built in. Like this:

You could always get someone to print it off for you and use your little art paint kit and post it via royal mail !  :lol:
