Just to cement her reputation as the greatest, Kimberley has confirmed her intended participation in the Tokyo Olympics and potentially the Olympics in 2024. 

Bad news for Amber Hill, good news for those of use that would like to see her achieve an incredible 8th Olympic medal.

I'm not really understanding how that is bad news for Amber Hill.  She has already shown that she is capable of Gold medal performance in WC's and there will always be other competitors.  That will be the case no matter where or when she competes.  

I have great faith in and hopes for cousin Amber and that in no way diminishes my respect and hopes for Kim as well.

who can judge who is "best" in ant sport? i have a vague family tie to dear old Bob Braithwaite,,his name and achievements were known to me 45 years ago,,his mother was my wifes father`s grandad`s sister in law ! this in Lancashire many moons ago !   (maybe why i started shooting/ shooting clays?)

the point is, he was the best at that time, you cannot take that away from anyone`s success, true of any endeavour which we all aspire too.

congratulations to our shooters for even getting to the Olympics, and all made the finals !

 you cannot ask for more that that commitment.

Imo even if you wanted to and even if it mattered anyone labelled "the best" has to have won more than a few medals he or she has to have "dominated" there sport for many many years. Steve Davis in the 80s for instance. However someone even better comes along at some point and so the cycle continues. Therefore if you wanted to label someone the best it would be better to take each discipline in each decade separately.

furthermore if someone really was the best and no one could ever attain the same level there would be no point in any sport. Striving to be the best would be futile.

I never thought anyone would be as good a dtl shooter as Stafford but then chaplow came along. For the record I still consider Stafford the best for various reasons despite chaplows unquestionably fabulous record so far.

Therefore if you wanted to label someone the best it would be better to take each discipline in each decade separately.
