Hi, anybody going to this in febuary? going to shoot in it or just browsing? i'll be looking for someone to do my ear impressions as i want in ear valves.

thoughts.....

We shall hopefully be going, not going to shoot though, can't be bothered to lug my gear around.

This is only a few miles from home so I think I'll. Have a look first then go the next day and shoot if I feel like it, if it's anything like the cla they usually have somewhere to store your gun whilst you enjoy the show for a fee of course

We are going to make the trip up, one of my friends is after a new gun and it should be a good chance to compare lots of different guns from all the various manufacturers and dealers.

I know it's a new venue but has anyone been to the show before know if traders usually sell cartriges at good prices??? Would like to go, but it's a fair way for me and to get a good deal on something would offset the cost of travel and entry!

If its anything like the MCN motorbike show, I imagine there will be an element of price fixing amongst the traders especially on new gun/ cartridge deals from the major manufacturers, otherwise the person undercutting everyone and doing the much better deal will make a killing at the show and take all the business from the other traders. There may be some good deals on second hand guns though.

Always fancied going but it's a long drive for me. It would mean the weekend away and associated costs. I'm happy to do it if it is worthwhile.

What are people's views on it as a show?

It's right next to Leamington spa/ Kenilworth so there are lots of hotels etc nearby(by taxi). I go to a few game fairs but this one is just for shooting all types of shooters normally at game fair it's only part shooting and then country pursuits

We will be going, in fact unlike our normal approach, we already have tickets to both days and a hotel booked.

We will probably take our guns and have some fun, it would seem strange to have a whole weekend without shooting at something, I think Rabbit Mania is back for the first time this year which would be fun.

As to your comment SoR about getting your ear impressions taken there, that shouldn't be a problem. We had ours done at last year's Midland Show and they arrived about 2-3 weeks later. If I remember correctly there were a number of companies offering this service so hopefully the Shooting Show will be the same  :)

Me and the farther-in-law will be going and possibly my lamping partner also !

Am looking for any Mossberg or Benelli murchandise that I can find. Am not shooting and am going to pick up a set of the jack pyke boots as i need some boots desperately, also if anyone has some ported / extended chokes suitable for my mossberg 500 then I will pick some up !

Other than that just looking at whats about ! :D

Yes but do they do good frank Spencers. Remember op specified he wanted good impressionists :)

Been every year it has run and a long drive for me but would deff recommendit. Not sure if the shells are cheap but the rifle stuff allways works out good.Wouldn't bother with the shoot unless you get a copy of the rules. If run by the same cowboy outfit as last year there was some fixing going on with the money, and I do not mean in anyway anything to do with the Rabbitmania, just the sporting layout.

Yeah, left a bitter taste for the whole event but a very good show with some real deals to be had, enjoy

I will be there, we have the Clay Shooting Success stand so please come and say hello, we will have a few giveaways on the stand and a couple of launches too. We did it last year and was a good show for us, but looking forward to it being more central this year. The stand will be virtually opposite the Browning stand.
