Shotgun for a small guy

Being a petite lady of only 4’11”  my husband was talking into buying me a 20bore “ladies” gun (many, many years ago)  It kicked me like a mule I can tell you.  I now shoot a 12 bore, started with an MK38 trap gun 30 “ which was heavy but I shot it ok and now have a Krieghoff, 32” which is heavy BUT it balances so well it feels light. No recoil and I shoot 28g RC2. I think you have to forget about the weight of a gun, the gun fit is much more important and once you’ve got that correct it’s just putting shells through the gun to get used to it.  We can all say this gun or that gun is the best but it’s individual choice, what suits one person doesn’t always suit another.  Good luck anyway.
