Hi Ian

just to say sorry not having replied to your PM - seems that i'm a lazy s*d as i haven't reached enough posts to be able to reply by PM yet. Perhaps the mods will take pity and let me off for not being a keyboard bandit

I will endeavour to do meet my quota and i'll pm you back as and when i can.

Just to say i'm nr Methlick (Ellon) so about an hour away from your hometown.

Hope the gamba is going ok for you - i really like mine but still have some off days as i have to stop flailing it around like my Browning :.: i do need to get mine serviced soon so will have to think about sending it down somewhere or trust a local gunsmith, who is very good but overworked so always takes some time. Out of curiosity who did you entrust yours too?

Will be in touch

Martin

Hi Martin,

I'm not sure I know what a keyboard bandit is, I suspect it might be somebody who can't keep off one. No problem re the PM thing.

Gamba seems fine now. I took it back to Premier Guns from whence it came, as I was getting a creak from one of the ejectors, it was just inside the 3 month warranty Matt at Premier sent it to a guy who knows Gambas, he stripped and serviced it, the creak has gone, hope it stays away.

I was given details of Paul Thornton, by teepee1234, Paul apparently knows Gambas and holds some parts. I still haven't spoken to Paul yet. I'd like to do my own servicing and be able to strip the gun, but I would need a good quality exploded diagram before I touched it. The gun was secondhand and it didn't come with a handbook/manual.

Ian.

PS I haven't used the gun a lot yet as I'm just getting into shooting.
