Anyone shooting this on Friday? High on my success at the British Open I will be there, trying to remember how to shoot the sxs. I'm hoping to shoot round with some friends if timings work, but it would be nice to know who to look out for.

Ooh, you are right! I liked Sian's post and now it's gone.

I have a 28" Baikal 43EM, choked at 7/40 and 15/40. It's called Boris and two years ago we scored 53 at this event. He hasn't been out at all since then.

They haven't gone.  For some reason Liz post was posted twice and our responses are on that post.

I am confused now. Which isn't difficult ?

I would have loved to have shot this. Beretta parrabello for next year. ;)

Westley me old one eyed mate, do you reckon I could shoot a double trigger, our tame smith has one I am interested in. ?

Well, I have never had a problem swapping from single to double triggers. I can even work out which one to fire first, choke or open barrel. I do get caught out with an auto safe on a gun when clay shooting though. Do not forget I was weaned on a double trigger gun  !

The Greener Empire with 2 3/4" chambers, half pistol grip and just under 7lbs would be a good starting point ?

Off to beddy byes now, hopefully will be yer 2 eyed Mate after tomorrow  !

I think you will find that hard to adapt to !

It's not that hard, using a double trigger. I can do it. Feels quite natural.

About 11  wanted to get some practice in with the zabala this week but had no time, so first stand will be interesting.
Same. I begged them for a have a go stand, something easy at £1 a pair for charity, but no go. Anyways, I have purple hair so come and say hi if you see me.

i got as far as newmarket and had to turn around and go to work, even though i booked holiday. what was it like ?
Really nice course for a side by side people who know more than me were saying. Two sequences of 16. The one in the grouse butt was okay, but I blanked the driven one and got smacked in the face :-( Everything else was fine, lots of fun.

Christ the refs take no prisoners there. Iam glad I didn't go.
It was Boris. Boris is Russian and doesn't like driven birds. Boris is now back in the cupboard for another year. I think I might shop for a nice English sxs.
