I had a day down at Capvern yesterday shooting UT. It was the first day for over a week that the meteo said would be acceptably warm ~10C. Now we have had snow recently but it had all gone from around us so was I surprised when driving toward Capvern as I started to climb up hill I started to observe increasing amounts of snow at the roadside, long story short they were digging the trap house out when I arrived! So first time shooting trap in snow albeit with really good light and not too cold... flop! Could not see the targets properly at all or at least that is my excuse! Shot a 19 mostly second barrel, which is very unusual for me normally I am great first barrel and sporadic second. I took more than 40 cartridges to shoot a 19!. I put my gun in the car and went home no point in practicing in those conditions. I was not the only one having problems though. Roll on Saturday!
