First decent days weather for ages saw us arriving at Southdown for a 10am peg time, TeePee, Bob_P, Woo_P from here as well as Glen from Wylye and one more.  The whole day was mild, bright but not too sunny and with virtually no breeze, so perfect conditions compared to so many days recently!

We started on the Barn layout - right at the start of the layout - highlight for me was a pretty good teal which I missed in the singles on Peg 2, but smashed from Peg 3 when it needed a bit more leeed - lovely target to get the pulse racing.  We had a short break, then went onto the Warren layout at the end of the lane with the rabbit on the bank and some below the feet crossers - I made a hash of a longer range battue from Peg 2 and then Peg 3 which damaged my card there. We also saw the Southdown mini - which I made a complete mess of and missed it in the single and double....grrrrr.

Third layout was the Field with some nice crossers off the tower and a driven battue that was fun to shoot at - peg 2 and 3 had a rocket which I dropped one of and nice high crossing midi which caught a lot of people out. I was 1 away into the last peg, and then dropped one of each of the doubles for a PB of 22 there.

Final layout of the day was Car Park - a new area with some recently build steps and some nice angles - a couple of tasty edge on crossers which caught a few out and a bouncy rabbit which was fun from Peg 3 as it got about 8/10 yards further away.

My scores - 20/17/22/18 - for a personal best FSP score of 77 - I was just behind Teepee and Bob who led the ShootClay charge quite nicely.  As ever, decent layout at Southdown for the fourth in the Winter Series. We saw George Digweed out there - I think he finished on 94,  John Pool on 88, Paul Lovick was one away after three layouts - but finished HG on 95 I think.

Well - I do prefer the discipline, but I'll need to get back into ESP a bit over the next few weeks... RBSS to come, and a few of the majors as well.

Great day out Matt & well shot - PBs all over the place including one for Wendy. I seem to have lost my ability to hit rabbits....again.  Lord Pewsey shot his socks off for another PB, great shooting all round. Looking forward to Hornet next week, then roll on Prague in May... can't wait:)

Loved it today, great weather, great company as always, good targets again... and a Fitasc PB by a long way!  Scored fairly consistently for me, 18, 19, 20, 21!

Great day out, thanks guys!  :hi:
