I have to say a credit to the team at Southdown today a horrible day to shoot ( understatement ) but the targets were excellent. We had two no birds from a battue trap probably because the clays were sticking together as they were so wet. A good mix of targets with some traditional Southdown long midis and Chondels. There was something for everyone including a pair of long bunnies and a going away battue.

By all accounts the Fitasc was also good on the 23/24th. We left with Chris Childerhouse on a excellent 94. George and Henry Arnold on 92 for second.

Well done Southdown keep up the good work.

Ditto to the above. Great layout! A superb battue, set horizontal and you shot down on it from above, (so you could see its full face) quartering away R-L like a steam train. Never seen that done before - excellent!

Got the scores wrong Chris shot 94 in the Sport trap not the sporting.

Brgds
