Respectfully . Applying your theory to a recent shoot. HG 95. By former world champion. No other AAA superstar broke 86. . There were rumblings from their previous shoot that it was too hard. ( Not from me) their attendance was down this week with only 81 entries. Then they gone stupid . Set it harder than last . Bet they don't get more than 50 at their next.

In all fairness to the numbers attending this weekend, there was quite a lot of shoots on.
I agree feast or famine with shoots recently, some weekends practically nothing and then suddenly everything.
Perhaps this is the new "normal" as it seems everyone wants things toughened up! :wink:

I wouldn't have thought it was Honesberie, as a C class shooter I thought it was about right. I shot my current average, even with some silly mistakes.
Only going on the scores quoted....95 HG, and next best super stars 86. that appears to be Honesberie. I never shot it so can't comment on the targets. Just my observations and reply to an earlier post on here of "where was this ?" I may be off the mark but the results fit.

I rolled up about 11.20 and the parking was fairly full. Sean said it had been busy 1st thing but easing off. Total reg entries were 151 plus a handful of un-reg and that seems about right given all the other shoots and of course a few lightweights who stayed home because the temperature was over 20 degrees.
I really like Gunsite, but have avoided it for 2 years now because it has always been 300 entries and bad to get round, which adds to a longish car journey. Gunsite always gets a decent turnout because Sean is well liked and as one of the best shots this country has ever produced he sets targets that will find you out if your technique isn't up to scratch.
Have to say I also love Gunsite and Shaun but we avoid during the better weathered months because you can be there forever and we do like to do two shoots on a Sunday. We go back in the winter when some just don't come out to play.
I know what you mean. The ground area is fairly small and has a pinch point but Sean has a few more stand positions now which helps. It's a superb ground for Fitasc though. Sean is steadily improving the facilities though and the catering in particular is much better now.
Didnt think Gunsite was neither “easy” nor “hard” some do seem to shoot very well there, although yesterdays scores showing some good shots did struggle, and yes the atvtimrs extreme heat may well have been a factor.
