Am not familiar with steel shot, let alone steel loads for clay, those of you that do is there a non plaswad cartridge at prices not eye watering for the clay market? Virtually all the clubs and grounds local to me have a “fibre only” policy which may impact business etc

Not aware of any fibre wad steels. It's the quickest way on planet earth to fcuk up your barrels.
There may be some "plas" wads that are biodegradable so this will be the route to go down for fibre only grounds.

jocker and gambore both made steel shot cartridges using a fibre cup wads, jocker were the cheapest but not sure what’s available at this time. Otherwise you are into the so called plastic biodegradable wads but not all are created equal some will still take many months if not years to degrade, the fastest of them being the water soluble type like e.g. Eley use which take only a few days to degrade.
Manufactures should have to put on the cartons how long typically their wads take to degrade in the countryside so we as customers can make an educated choice.
