Seriously though, I have just got a new laptop and I am not having any problems signing in.  (Okay WHO said worse luck  ?)

Same here. I hope Firefox can remember my password cos I'm damn sure I can't...

If you use chrome on all your devices you browse with you can sync passwords, history etc across all of your devices. 

Dr. Lectar was advsed by matt to reregister with a username that doesn't have a full stop in it, because it's confusing the certificate on the cookie. How did that go?
