Went for another coaching session today, and took they youngest & My other half...

She wasnt too keen on going, as she was convinced

A) She would miss everything

B) She would nt be able to hold the gun ( shoulder problem)

C) Also she was concernd about clothing etc

My coach, out and out asked her if she wanted to do it, as he could tell she was unsure,

to her credit she explained what and why,  and  my coach went through all her concerns, and alayied them .

What a fantastic morning :)

My coach was superb, he set her up with a 20 bore, and after some basics   / gun safety, dominant eye , mount etc, we moved onto the first trap.

She was in her element, she took the first 9 clays, with no problems whatsoever,

My youngest tried the 20, but wasnt happy, so stuck with the 410, and he started to pick them off

I for my sins was shown how take them on the rise, a new one for me, but great fun .

Then we moved to LR crossing and again my other half was hitting clays,  not so many, but still good solid hits.

I and the youngest like these clays, so it was good fun for us to break them

Then we moved onto the skeet range,

As we had begginers, we started from position 1 and all three of us got hits ,  moving onto position 4 things became a whole lot harder .,  My wife to my surprise managed to get two clays,  (no bad considering it was here first time out!)

I did really well breaking roughly 50%  of what was released

Then we went back to 1 for my youngest to finish off,  I had another go from 1, and then my wife tried some clays using the 12 bore, although she missed, she was happy with the 12 bore as opposed to the 20

As we were walking back to the start area, she announced she would like to come again , and on a regular basis.

:) result :)

Amazing what can be achieved with a good coach, and the right approach

Dont even go there . :) ,  a remortgage was discussed ironically on the way home ......  (other reasons though)

as long as she wants to keep going, thats good enough

Yep, good but sounds expensive. I am taking my mrs down the club when we can eat away from the kids. She has fired my rifles but never a shotgun.
