What's people's opinions on tornado brushes? (Image attached incase you know it by another name).

I've seen they are mostly a US thing but some are available in the UK. Hoppes sell a steel one and yet say it won't scratch the barrels (I wouldn't want to take the risk) but there are bronze and phosphor-bronze versions available.

Never tried one. I've been using  phosphor bronze payne gallway type brushes for donkeys years. As for a steel brush? Not in my flippin tubes!!!

I sell a Phosphor Bronze Tornado brush.

Available in 12; 20 & 410 versions.

Ideal for shifting plastic fouling.

Had one in a .410 cleaning kit a few years ago it wasn't worth the effort to be honest

Perazzi discourages steel brushes and mop things of all kinds in its barrels.  The brass ones do not seen all that wonderful to me tho I do have one I use in the drill press to clean choke tubes.
