Rite in a medium size club of 32 members and sporting is out thing. We have 10 Rangers chondel and a rabbit all promatic

A few years back we got laporte 185 pc 8c pro and I have to say these traps are the dogs bo*#@? . Hears the thing cash in the bank time to get more traps . I know the laporte are very good but promatic have the osprey out now so has anyone seen the osprey in action compared to the laporte feed back please .

Promatic Osprey brilliant piece of kit.

BUT, for a small club you have to examine the pallets of clay option with Laporte purchase.

But I am sure Promatic can match any deal.

Also remember back British Industry whenever you can.

We only have one main outlet for promatic traps over here in Ireland and he no do the free pallet of clays like laporte .

Have you seen the osprey is it as good as the laporte at looper's and teel .

If you were on the mainland I would sell you our two Ospreys at a discount. The design is fine in that you can alter targets very quickly and easily but they are very lightly made and have a tendency to vibrate like hell when almost empty so destroying the rest of the clays in the carousel. When I tackled Promatic they suggested I had put maximum spring on the traps making the situation worse. Not exactly helpful. I know of other grounds experiencing the same problems, despite denials from Promatic.

Their Super Sporter is the best trap on the market, albeit a very expensive bit of kit. Everything else they have made has been a compromise to meet a selling price in the market.

Wylye,

I have to agree 100% on all you posted. Bidwell exactly the same with the vibration thing. Fortunately we keep ours topped up regularly. Although I try to be faithful to Promatic. I do have to say that for any club starting out the pallets of clays with a trap is a very attractive deal from Laporte. The latest Laportes are a bit fragile though. I can't see them lasting too long if left out 24/7/365 uncovered.

We have a mixture of Laporte and Promatic and can't fault any of them, but with the option of the free clays we will be leaning towards the Laporte
