is there a official  weight  for trigger pulls  for sporting shooting ?     or is it personal preference   ,   have to say 725 feel good  . !

:fie:  Here we go again! I would say no lighter than 4lb on first barrel and 4.5lb on second barrel, but we will have "experts" who say  2lb  and 2.5 lbs or less :fie:   :fie:

As long as it doesn't 'jerk' the gun when i fire, i could not give a stuff what the poundage is - Perazzi's have good ones though, better than my Brownings.

Some 2lb triggers can feel like 5lb triggers, and vice versa. There is nothing worse than a trigger that feels like two sheets of sandpaper rubbing together.

I'd rather have a slightly heavier trigger, as long as it is smooth and breaks cleanly.

so are they lighter or heavier ?  doh  personal preference  don't count  ,  need a official  answer .
There is no official weight on trigger pulls for sporting

my ex-girlfriend had the perfect pulling pressure but did seem to jerk at times, no probs i just put up with it  :nyam:

A target rifle requires lightweight, clean & crisp breaks to aid accuracy

A sporting shotgun?.....not so much. I would go so far as to say in reality I doubt whether most shooters could tell the difference between a 3lb and 4lb trigger pull

when under normal useage.

There is a safety aspect here particualy on the second barrel, thats why they are always heavier!

Perazzi pulls are usually lighter. Mine was about 3lb from new and even after 2 years I still fired unintentionally sometimes, so had them altered to just under 4lb, which I think is ideal for sporting.

As long as it's not extremely light (dangerous) or heavy and is consistent, not rough or drags I don't think it matters. Its all in the head stored to be used as another excuse or distraction

Ever unknowingly knocked the safety on and tried to shoot at a clay... almost everyone will pull the trigger so hard its a wonder it doesn't snap off.

I reckon 3.5lb to 4.5lb, too light and there could be safety issues, too heavy and they become uncomfortable! But it's really down to the individual of course.

Never measured any of mine but I know when there good and when there bad. I hate any creep in a trigger.

I personally believe grip radius and angle etc has an effect on how they feel.

I have never measured mine either although I have the equipment in the lab to do so.

The reason being I know what I like and know what I don't like and don't feel the need to putt a number on it.

I had a Browning that I didn't think was bad until I got my DT10, much preferred the triggers on the DT 10 but after a couple of stands shooting the Browning again I forgot about it.
