Have been given the above without any glue as used I have tried double sided tape to attach to the rib after cleaning both but did not stay on for long three days, what can I use or can I get a replacement glue strip like the one that came with it

There are various types of double sided tape, some work better than others.

Why not use a roll of white electrical tape ?  It seems to work for OSK.

Go to your local car main dealer, and ask for some some double sided tape for sticking badges / trim on

That stuff is waterproof and sticks like   to the proverbial

Whatever tape you use you will need to wipe the rib to degrease it before anything will stick. I use meths, it works well.

Isopropanol is good, its not as aggressive as acetone   

Meth;s i always find  i tend to have the odd swig or too  .....  if youve drank some of the crap i get at chrimbo you would understand .

Yeah but the Meths can also be useful if you are doing the wood too.
