So what is everyone up to?

One more day of not shooting for me then Roundwood Friday, Carl Bloxham's Saturday and Weston Wood Sunday...supposed to be back at work Monday but thinking of getting there via Westfield....

Am sure I will see a few of you around over the next few days.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and got everything on their list...

Off to Longridge today, probably South Wales 2000 tomorrow for the all round comp and then I can't remember for Saturday but something everyday!

Just got back from Ashley Shoot near Tiverton having shot (at) 70 Sporting Practice.

For those that know me will understand this is not a regular occurrence for me, and it was my Christmas present to myself. (Well, one of them. The other was entering The Classic Sporting next June).

Really enjoyable morning, nice crowd and good targets. Even managed to break a few!

A few flashes of "the old me", and it felt really, really good!!   Roll on summer!  :nyam:

Went along to Longridge after the fog had cleared at home. Very impressed at the turnout at the shoot with the usual Gloucester suspects floating around.

Lovely sunshine and nice to shoot with no coat on.

A few stands with big crowds, but not too much waiting about.

Four Counties.....enjoyed it.....beat him indoors......messed around on the teal stand shooting it the opposite way round and threw 2 away.....ended up on 41/50 .....went birds only as did not realise it had a ladies class......would have won it by a country mile.......£30 would have been nice.....bah humbug..!

Nice shoot, something for everyone....laughed a lot .....especially on the pool where him indoors beat me on the last round 9/10 to 8/10 after tying the round before on 8/10.....bah humbug..!!

Gin time....!

Got a slot freed up early tommo so going to shoot oak edge (boo, hissss) with Ed and Ben. Guns been locked up for a good 3 weeks so should take the chance to get it dirty again!

Hodnet challenge on sat , westfields on mon, looking forward to both, hope it's dry I hate shooting in the rain

Had a trip to four counties this morning, had a good shoot round ended up on 40/50 so not too bad! Still had a few silly misses but less than normal or was that just because I shot at less targets! :)

Shot longridge today stated with a ten out ten on stand two then one away on the other six stands to finish 64 , bit sloppy not match fit yet but then won the pool shoot with 19 ex 20 , all in all good day out

Shooting Southdown in morning with Springer. Anyone know if A24 around Dorking is ok as seen reports of flooding in nearby areas?

Fab day at Roundwood with Jason and Tony plus a couple of guys from the Island...hit some ace stuff...really pleased with how I got on and finished off well with the competition in the afternoon with a 73. Great warm up for the weekend....now where to go tomorrow...Carl's in the afternoon but am sure I can fit another ground in in the morning!!

Yesterday went to South Wales 2000 for the Welsh Open all Round comp. Always love going there, I did extraordinarily badly much worse than this time last year so if I am honest I was a bit grumpy about that but the weather at times was very typical of being on top of a mountain but the company made up for that. Tony did well and Amber came away with 1st in Juniors and 2nd in Ladies which made her day. She also had a go with her Dad on the UT in very windy conditions and did well for only her second time getting 15. They are lovely folk there and Sian (the other one) cooks a lovely breakfast.

Off to Hodnet today.

Well done to Amber, Sian. Bet you were proud of her. x
