SPECSAVERS BOOKED TUESDAY MORNING 9AM...

Well shot lord tiptop, and great company again cheers stew ..nice to see robos brother ken too ;) :D .

As for the shoot its self I felt it was chucked together on alot stands and alot of targets pencil like too look at, :( and this made the shoot very hard in my opinion, I find rabbit targets tricky enough but when you cant really see the target it makes it near on impossible for me..

Chas who runs urchfont a good friend too but I have to be honest as I have shot urchfont alot over the years but today was a bad one in many ways... :(

Roll on next week.

You are always very fair with your comments Mark. (Not a whinger like me) So it must have been bad. I assume the Specsavers appointment is for the course setter? :)

After 3 stands I thought I was back at the English open. 15 targets away!

Managed a couple of straights then some odd one's dropped. It was hard to build any sort of rhythm at Urchfont today. As Mark said earlier, bloody hard with a lot of edge on stuff. The quartering rabbit, I found very hard to see. Chas said only 5 straights on that stand out of 80 shooters.

Gutted when I added me card up to a 71, but felt a lot better when I looked at all the scores posted. I think it was being one with a mid 80's.

Well done Tiptop (bagged his final week in C) and good to meet Ken Philips. If your reading this Robo, you were better off at the farm mate.

No Will. If Chas needs glasses then there is no hope for any of us.

I believe the course was set by various people this week. Sorry if I have that wrong Urchfont team.

Fairly tough shoot today but......i will always struggle on high driven 2/10....and had a few stands with one away, left afew out there as they say, should have done better and finished with a 7 on the front but will settle for 66 if it takes C class as only one left at wylye tomorrow. :hunter:

I thought it was me having a bad day!

Wheels were left at home today I think!

Struggled in with 57, had a few good stands but a lot of very average ones too.

the rabbit put pay to any chance I may have had (std3) never touched one and I double barrelled the last one !!!! not a good start 6 away ? looked right too but that bunny kept appearing out of the pattern .

std 2 birds had a mind of their own ....here there and every where. tower seemed wound up to..Over lead 6 on the 2 stds on the lawn !!! Missed out the next two (busy) and headed to the hike down the road, bit more movement on these three stds though the last std out , varied so much I felt the sooner this finishes the better for me.did manage to straight the second std with a rabbit I could see, but by the time I got to my last std in the plantation, my shoot was long gone and over.

I really like Urchfont so am a little lost with what to say about it today ?? was it just me who shot sh*t ? 73 !!!!! honestly I was not expecting that, add the long drive, and it felt like a real bad day at the office

Not Specsavers, not a good idea!

Told today that someone ordered 2 pairs of glasses from Specsavers, one with with reactolites and one without.

Went to collect glasses to find each pair had one reactolite lens and one clear lens in each.

You'd think it couldn't happen

Glad we decided not to go there today I would have come away with nothing by the sounds of it. went to Hornet instead. I always find it tough there but it was very enjoyable. My score has improved there and I came away with 44/100, not up to your standards but good for me. My coach (hubby) says what I did get I shot like a proper shooter just need consistency and my swing was a lot better.

on the flipside i bet they paid out pretty well, last time i went he was paying back £13 from every entry
Your right there chas is great at paying out in every class, my opinions on shoot yesterday is nothing personal to urchfont/chas...for the shoot too be won on 82 high gun is very rare with standard of shooters out there these days and I love a challange and stiff targets too but I like to be able to see them to know what im shooting at!!!! Alot off targets were see it shoot it no chance of reading it much... sayin all that I will go back next time as shot here for years..:)
