At what age are you classed as a veteran at the following (cant find anything on cpsa site)

OT

UT

ABT

That's a good question, the answer to which I don't have - however, I'd like to extend it to include ESP and FITASC, if anyone has any idea? (not trying to steal your thread, grumpy...!) ;) :.:

I believe that in all Fitasc and Olympic disciplines, 55 is the age for veterans. When I enter Fitasc Sporting comps I am asked if I want to compete in my class or as a veteran. I go for class, there are too many good veterans shots for me to compete against :)

If you click on join us on the cpsa website veteran membership is 60+ so i would imagine in all cpsa disciplines it is over 60

It gives the ages for all colts, juniors etc

Thanks I must have missed that section.

Thinking about getting some ShootClay branded zimmers for the meetups.

Veterans are 60 onwards for registered events as well as national and european championships. There is an additional category for super veterans at World championships. They are 65 onwards.

It's all on the CPSA website.

Blimey super vet in less than 4 years and I've only just started

Best get my skates on!

Why aren't vets subdivided into classes. Hardly seems fair for a guy one day older to now have to compete with AAA class if he is a C class shot just because he is now a vet. Vets should be classed!

Thank goodness for that!

Or am I expecting too much for their to be prizes for vets in each class.

It does happen however in target shooting

I think when you enter, you get the chance to choose vet or class. Vets by class IS asking too much. Then it would be colts, juniors, ladies by class. Too many prizes..

To shoot for England [all dates are age at Jan 1st of that year but medals for English and British champs are date of shoot]. CPSA scores show vets erroneously as 60 always.

ABT = 60

OT = 55

To shoot for GB at UT = 55, Supervets = 65 BUT there is a proposal to move Vets to 60 in the pipeline as they're all living too long. Imminent Vets about to qualify are up in arms over this.

Meanwhile Helice are proposing to move Vets down from 65 causing some gnashing of teeth.
