My first visit to Westfield in about a year. I love it, it is just not near me..

Rather misty at first. 150+ entries made for some queuing and 2.5 hours to get round. Stand 1 was receiving the report bird from stand 2, meaning you needed to think when to call for your targets to avoid three in the air at once. Weird oversight for Steve Lovatt..

Otherwise this was just a superb shoot, with a bias on longer targets, but you have to use that glorious scenery at Westfield. Also, plenty of quick closer stuff, so a great variety.

I dropped 1 on stand 1, another on stand 2, then had a flustered session on stand 3, pulled trigger way before I meant, got rattled and dropped 3. Then missed two of the close birds on stand 5, so this was looking a bit tatty. then, thankfully had a fairly tidy rest of round finishing on 87. My usual pattern of no disaster stands but just a lot of 1 aways. Very pleased as it wasn't easy and I'm not that familiar with the ground.

How did everybody get on?

Shot it reasonably, dropped three on one stand after my glasses misted up. Went into the last stand with the wrong atitude, thaught 92 was in the bag and promptly missed three fairly straight forward birds. Finished up with a 89, not too disapointed. Richard bunting leading on 96 on leaving

Well done Steve. 96 for Richard Bunting? He obviously isn't flagging. :)))))

I think he did anyway. Good shooting in murky conditions.
It was murky in places. We left stand 4 for last, the little platform, as it had a 30 yardish edge on white crosser through white mist. I dropped two later on anyway, still couldn't see it well..

Shot like a bell end, some good bits, some average bits and some utter tripe. Was over leeding everything and struggling to pick lines. 58 was probably a just reward for the way I shot, 3 twos on the card is never going to set the world on fire :(

I blame many factors including and not limited to, the mist, shooting her 21g shells, wrong chokes, dodgy glasses, I've lost one of the little dust cover/valves from my emtecs :(

on the upside I emailed Emtec last night about getting a new valve thingy, got a mail back today asking for my address and saying they will send me a couple of spares foc :)

Fuz.

Don't beat yourself up, There were some tricky angles to contend with, specially on the rabbit stand  (oh how I hate frigging rabbits)

Not beating myself up :) it is what it is, move on and forget about it :) I'm sure I would have got at least 35 with a Beretta :p

Gotta keep the beretta for the jolly down at meon springs in the summer (wellies optional).
