wow what a day over 250 entries

firstly i apoligise for anyone that got caught in queues i had a cherry picker trap giving me grief all morning so a back log occurred with people jumping stands .

secondly im getting increasing fed up with the wind blowing on sundays from mid morning onwards after the point i cant tweak or change traps to suit , for example stand 7 overhead bird should have been high and steady but it ended up landing in the bloody wood the other side of the field !!!!!!

thirdly i would like to congraulate some excellent shooting today the scores at the top end of the classes were very good indeed and a special mention goes to Richard Faulds and Chris Childerhouse who both shot 113 x 120 ( 94% ) just brilliant !!!!!!!

good to see salopian this side of the border , sorry i didnt see you before you left peter ,hope you had a good day with Nicky T

results will follow shortly

First time at Westfield today. Have to say I was bloody impressed with everything! If that's what the wind does to the targets....bring it on! Some huge birds out there, big leed....Awesome! Dropped some easier stuff, but ended on 96/120. Was fairly pleased with that as my first visit to the ground and will definitely be back.

Was good to meet Salopian, although I didn't realise it was him until he'd left, and also good to have a bit of a chat with Clynt......funny guy!

Brilliant shoot Steve really enjoyed the targets, will be back. Any chance of putting a heli on from cheshire ? Would be a lot easier to get to you !

My first time too (first reg comp).. Had a great time (thanks to the lads that let me go round with them) and will be back for more...

Steve and co, thank you for putting on another excellent shoot today! There was a good choice of shoots on today and I'm pleased that I made the decision to go to Westfield today. Yes it was windy, yes there were some big queues but the weather was warm, the target variety fantastic and it was a real pleasure to shoot there. All of the refs were polite and courteous and the day as a whole was thoroughly enjoyable, which after all is why we do it! Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Ps anything over 100 was good going today, anything over 110 was ridiculously good shooting!

I concur with Nicky T. The queues were awful, but thankfully the weather was good and there were so many people there, I got to catch up with lots of people. It wouldn't have been fun in bad weather but odds on, there wouldn't have been the sheer weight if numbers had the weather been bad.

It was certainly a stiff course but everything hittable. I would have liked 15 stands (rather than 14) for the 120, and perhaps the tough stands spaced out a little, but fundamentally the targets were fantastic (as always) and I enjoyed the shoot. I just need to hit a few more next time.
