Usual good affair today; which became bloody busy by mid morning. 200 entries? Saw Fuzrat, Tiptop and a few others from here.

My card was littered with silly misses, as per usual. Only one stand stuffed me big time; the one with the r-l loopy standard and the distant l-r midi curling away. Despite telling myself not to over do it, I overlead the midi by miles until the last one. Missed a first bird in frustration too..

Anyway, do we know about HG? I saw Chris Childerhouse was only four away about half way round..

Update: I think 93 may have taken it? Chris 87 apparently. Only three more than me? Send the doctor for him. :))

yeah 93 jnt hg then a couple on 92 and the rest high 80's I think.

Decent layout with some nice birds that needed some biggish leed. Was well pleased straighting the incommer/ l-r long orange battue (beat Cheryl on that one :D ) did the same as clever with the long midi, but found it on the 3rd pair for 8 ex 10.

Near enough 250 entries I think which made for a 3.5 hour round, we ended up walking the circuit 2 and a bit times trying to jump into gaps.

Ended up with 73 for 3rd in C, 3 behind the on fire Radrac (very well shot fella :) )

Fuz, how was the platform for you? I just dropped a clumsy last bird. Was the ref staring at you too? Weird..

missed the first couple of the white 1/4 away over the top until I moved the hold point back and shot it earlier and over led the pink l-r first bird out.

Didnt notice the staring but I made the effort not to notice as I was pre warned :.: she was staring at Mrs Fuz tho. I think she might be a bit Mutton and lip reading the pull call :.: :.:

Good to see you again Fuz.

Good stiff shoot at western yesterday, plenty to test your skill as well as your patence!

Had a fairly steady shoot, a couple of pants stands where i dropped too many to keep my score up, finished on a 85 after a 4/8 and a 6/10.

Frustrating day but good to see everyone out again!

Yes, I guess I am used to the standard at Weston; but actually it was a great challenge. if there were 250 shooters through it and only a handful broke 90; it can be deemed a worthy event.

If Steve or Ally pops into this thread, any chance of moving the cage on the stand with the straight teal followed by the l-r crosser? Can't remember what number it was but its got a big rabbit hole just where my left foot goes :(

Thanks :) after the excellent job on the drive would be a shame to break my ankle on a stand :.:

Broken ankle won't stop me shooting, Mr Rutherford can carry me to the stands :D
