Paul,

Thank you for the very kind words.

There are no magic beans, just basics correctly applied, and as you have correctly identified , the little wrinkles to breaking clays that only come with experience.

How do we learn those wrinkles?

Time, Grasshopper it takes time, wipe it on wipe it off , but think what you are doing.

If you shoot for many years you may well learn the wrinkles, if you shoot a lot , regularly , you may learn the wrinkles.

If you take lessons from the World's best you hopefully will be taught those wrinkles, if you do all of those things, hopefully you will be brilliant.

Ask Ed our new World Champion ! Nothing will ever replace sheer hard work, dedication and the appliance of science with a smattering of good luck.

Coming from a Motor Racing background I can assure you that there are many, Hamilton's, Rosberg's, Alonso's  and Vettel's walking the streets or riding bicycles that didn't have the chance or motivation to try Motor Racing. ( There are numerous Will Hewland's ).

Bloody hell lord H you actually have praise from someone. Wonders will never cease. At this rate I reckon you could be an average shooting instructor if you try really hard and iron out all your wrinkles. Maybe try all the wrinkles on your head

1. Don't listen to anyone claiming to know everything- pay a decent coach and use their input.

2. Treat it as a social gathering- ignore anyone you wouldn't reply/ talk to in a pub or in your own social circle.

3. Angry people clearly have small gentalia- and theres more of them than you first realise.

4. Don't rise to small bait...refer to point 3

i have learned that Some people have no humour.

Since I already know it all there is not much to be gained here for me.  Always amusing to watch the little people thrash around and try to make up sh*te to cover for knowing nothing.

Oh, and that there are really excellent people everywhere and total meatheads everywhere.  Unfortunately the proportions are not what they could be. a

"i have learned that Some people have no humour."  This I think goes hand in hand with the relative quantity of local stupid.

Well, that's enough pearls for now

Is Maxum really Biggus Dickus Maximus hiding behind a ..................................... contraction?

inquiring minds, etc

I think Paul Bailey started a very good thread, and for his gratitude I am extremely grateful, I am pleased that I was of some assistance to him.

For those who do not understand Maxum's comments, he is actually a friend and shooting colleague of mine. Any opportunity he can to be disparaging is grasped with both hands.

On the subject of genitalia , I have no idea of relevant sizes or the association with anger management, therefore I cannot know everything so that counts out number 1 part one - part two, my costs have just increased.

I've learned that every single thread on here will descend into a pub chat between the same 4 or 5 people so if any information is to be gleaned its on the first page.... ;)

bit here, bit there, mainly different POV and ideas to run through my BS filter before giving them a try. Contacts with particular areas of expertise are something else I've gained from here and PW, that I would never have known about otherwise. I also don't mind running ideas past you lot and being told I'm talking carp or just plain wrong as long the reasoning is given.

Other than that I enjoy the otters on here. Agree with dskize, threads do start to head off topic after a couple of pages but to me those can be some of the most entertaining.

I want to know who those same 4 or 5 people are.....so I can avoid them....better safe than sorry..!!

Thanks for the heads up Dskise
