Thats 'cause he's slumped over Les. It's making him look older! ;) Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
He's always slumping over, then he wonder why he's got a bad back!!! :spiteful:

I've learnt that I don't know nearly enough about gun fit, shell speed or general technical knowledge to progress in the sport...

Well your in the right place ed as I have also learned that there is a considerable amount of knowledge available on all matters shooting related and indeed none shooting related from many forum members and that everyone I have spoken to or met in person have been only too willing to share there knowledge free of charge. I for one think that almost everyone knows about something that is potentially helpfull to others.

The thing I find about competitive shooting is that you never ever stop learning either from experience or from being told.

Like Dirty Harry said - A man's just gotta know his own limitations   :banghead:

Keep at it tho, I hear you show some promise

If it is any consolation Ed, I know some people who know all about gunfit, chokes, patterns, cartidge speeds, shot hardness, shot sizes, backbored, overbored and totally bored barrels, recoil pads, adjustable combs, high ribs, narrow ribs, wide ribs, floating ribs, even broken ribs, BUT, still can NOT bloody shoot !

One lesson learned from ShootClay is to make my choice on chokes before leaving home, leave the remainder at home and use my choice of cartridge to tighten my pattern, should the need arise. On reflection, my choice of choke has never altered in the last 2 years, only taking the chokes out for cleaning and oiling.

Hey hold up a mo......I've got letters after my name too!!! Didn't go to Uni though, just college.

So what have I learned from Shootclay? Well to be serious for a while, I know it doesn't happen often. Since I came to this forum I have found out that there is more to clay shooting than scores alone! I have come into contact and indeed met a lot of great people via this forum, some have become friends, in person or online, or both in some cases.

I have learned that there are people out there who value the sport and the comradeship of other shooters more than they do winning, these people are always willing to help when things go wrong and they don't get nasty towards someone who wins when they themselves lose. I have learned that not everyone has the same sense of humour, so I hope that I have learned to think twice before making some comments! Well that's it......I'm done with being serious now......just need to sit back and wait for ips to come along with some of his wit !!!!!!

I think the devil is in the detail though Les?

You have to have the "right" letters.

I have wrong letters after my name, so everyone tells me!   :prankster:
