I am in serious trouble. Shot OT today and didnt enjoy it, terrible first line not shot trap or used trap gun for months but nice 23 on second line.

I seem to have totally fallen out with trap and never ever thought I would say it. Is there medication available for such things ? What to do ?

Bugger all wrong with a 23 mate! You will get back into it when the summer comes.

it wasn't the score that bothered me. It was very windy and I didn't expect much not having shouldered the trap gun for so long the weight was very obvious after the game gun. Once I got used again I shot a very tidy 23 in testing conditions, I just generally did not get fired up by it. Very odd.

You should have nipped behind the hedge, shot 25 off the tower and then resumed in a better frame of mind  !!

After shooting sporting and skeet you have evolved and found out world is round + you are seeing things in colour now. What to do? Devolve back to monocrome flat world. Good luck! :smile:

If i had to shoot Trap i'd take up golf to knitting, skeet (especially ISSF variety) and sporting are infinitely more interesting. :wink:

Well I do shot trap quite some - we shoot it here as A Fitasc "Game trench" - that is low gun, 5 stand, 6m behind bunker thing.

It has its benefits in perfecting stance, gun mount, quick and precise focus, quick and instinctive second shot...it is painful and one must become Comfortably Numb before every shoot - once it is over you can award yourself with a happy hollidays on sporting layout  :ahappy:

Your spot on ips i didn't have much fun in the wind and rain today, although i had a bacon buttie and enjoyed the piss taking with friends. As they say a bad day shooting beats dinner with the mother inlaw.
