who is doing what this season

I will be doing the ABT selections incl English open. The OT GP and the jury is out at the moment re the OT Selections i would like to but not sure if business will allow that many weekends or if i want to spread myself that thin.

The Krieghoff is the only event i've committed to so far. I can't be doing with trips to Bywell SG for the other majors, and it's a bit silly of the CPSA to host them all there.

I'll probably do the Welsh GP together with a few other registered events if the weather's decent.

Going to do quite a few UT and OT 100 target comps at a local ground and possibly the French UT championship.

I'm going to shoot as many 100 birders in ABT, UT, and OT around as many grounds as possible to get back into it, and a couple of the bigger Open competitions. Not going to shoot OT selections unless they are 200 targets, I will most probably shoot the UT selections though.

Im going to do the Kriegof for sure. And some other of the bigger dtl shoots. It will put big mileage on my poor car though, as some of the grounds are so far away!

Might try do a few more abt comps too.

Have a look at the OT English selection shootd on the CPSA website. You might be in for a pleasant surprise.

I think your in the same boat as me. Nothing beats shooting OT but there's a limit on time, effort & finance to be committed for only a days worth of shooting spread over 2 days.

ABT and OT for me this year. Though most 200s will be ABT due to time and clash with other commitments . Maybe some UT for county regoon champs throw in.

Sporting if there's nothing else to do but watch telly.

you can just do sat sun. Its the best atmosphere of any shoot, if you can tolerate dtl. Fri sat sun if you can would be best as lucky no on Fri is a hoot.

Well I wont be doing any two day events as I never get a whole weekend free to shoot. I intend to do mostly OT registered and some ABT registered, I may even try some UT. Only shot it twice many years ago and didn't settle into it at all,so maybe time to have another go. I did consider a bit of DTL but it scares the hell out of me to be honest!!!

Dtl, be afraid be very afraid.

Ut is a strange one imo, you have to stick at it for a few shoots before you settle as the focus point is different. Main thing is to let the target out before you swing wildly at it

UT is a bit different.. at least I think it is ! The target pick up is a little bit further out from the fosse so you really have to try to focus a little bit differently to pick the target up properly and as Ian says wait until you have a good target visual lock before moving the gun to the target.

Mainly ABT and UT for Harry and I this year. Might try to fit in the odd OT comp as we'll.

Planning on doing the UT selection shoots for Harry (3 junior places available) and hope to do 3 of the ABT selections as well.

Could be an expensive year!
