Does the top lever have any lock-up left in it? I.e is it sitting to the side or vertically. That’s the main thing apart from visual checks and general feelings of stuff being loose.

These days, I’d actually be interested to know which cartridges are bad. Some have higher recoil than you might like and many are seemingly just too expensive. So anything that doesn’t kick too badly and is under £290 is a good bet?

I think this is like assuming restaurants would increase trade if they offered half portions for a discount. The amount of food eaten / clays shot is only a small part of the total overhead to the restaurant / shooting ground, so it doesn’t save costs pro rata just from reducing what is consumed.

It just so happens that I upgraded from effectively my first gun which was a 525! I bought a K80 and I reckon it slowed my progress for 18months until I sold it. I then bought a Perazzi which didn’t fit. I should probably have kept my 525 😆
