    DT11's

Yes that would be the complete gun. I fancy the DT11L because it has engraving. GMK can supply a trap stock and Beavertail forend with dimensions that are close to my own. I just need a price. Having said that, Premier guns said that they can supply a new gun with the stock style that I want...

    DT11's

If I was going to buy a new one, i'd go to the factory and get if fitted.  £11500 at Doveridge for the trip which is expensive.  Other places sell them at £9500'ish.   I am sure a used one will come up. I can get stock made or just buy a beretta trap stock and Bobs your uncle for around £8000...

    DT11's

Its always good to quell a myth! My gunsmith is Tim greenwood and there is nothing he can't do to wood.  If Beretta can provide a trap stock I am sure he can not only fit it, but adjust it to make it spot on. Certainly, my friend is using 3/8th in his gun and his patterns are nothing short of...

    DT11's

Awesome.  I'd like to shoot game as well with it you see.  Good to hear it shoots okay with fibres  I like the big action for sure.  I just need a 35 x 35 trap stock on it and I reckon I can shoot it fine.  All berettas and Browning Sporters are too low for me.  My Perazzi DSR is 35 x 35 drop...

    Anybody shoot fibres through them?

    DT11's

Come on then, what do I need to know about these?  I have gone on the Beretta website and I can get a Trap stock to fit me.  All berettas shoot too low for me.  I do like the DT11 though.  Nice and big in the hands. Anybody shoot fibres through these? Let me know your thoughts

    Fiocchi Fblack vs Official

    Try the 8.5s. Awesome shell.

    Fiocchi Fblack vs Official

I shot these for a long time.  Fiocchi shells are consistent and hard hitting.  I have patterned them in my guns and these are my observations of both shells.  Fiocchi, F-Blacks are very hard hitting.  They pattern very tight, however, in my MK38, my Perazzi, and my Browning 725 Pro-trap, they...

Tell me about pattern testing, please.

My 725 3/4 choke measures 3/8 and gives me the best pattern at 80%. L.Full measures a true 3/4 and gives 82% density (I think that's right without counting the patterns again 🤣) My Perazzi Teagues are true measurements to bore size and most dense is 3/4 choke at 85%. Theres more going on in...

Cartridge Speed - How important ?

Cartridge speed is unimportant.  Consistency is important. The only thing I've noticed with really fast cartridges, is the recoil goes up.

Tell me about pattern testing, please.

I am an engineer. So by that very need to understand, wished to see what cartridges gave the most even patterns.  Why? Because shooting L.F. and Full through my Perazzi splits Clay's instead of dusting them.  I chose 8 cartridges. I shot 2 different guns from 1/4 through to full choke at 38m...

Cartridge Speed - How important ?

Theres no substitute for patterning your gun with several cartridges.  However in answer to your question, I've found that a good trap shell in 7 shot smashes everything past 70yds.  Some notably hard hitting shells I've used, Fiocchi Fblack 7.5s, Fiocchi Golden trap, Lyavale World cup 6.5s...

Cartridge Speed - How important ?

Not important in the slightest. Pattern is very important.  Shoot a slow 21gram shell and see how well it breaks nearly every target on an ESP layout and you'll know that the reduced shot count and slower speed delivers a very sweet pattern.

    Perazzi mx2000s recoil reduction

Funny one this. A recoil pad helps absorb some of the recoil, but if you have poor gun fit, it is more likely that the recoil force us going through your comb into your face.  A recoil pad wont help with that.  I'd have a word with a good gunsmith to check your fit. I had a most beautiful...

    Beretta 692 X Trap

Good luck with the 692x. The 682x and mk38 are both built like brick sh^* houses. Excellent guns. Much better than the current crop of rubbish of late. High rib or low rib? Doesn't matter. I have a Perazzi HPX DSR and the higher rib is supposed to help get both eyes over the action of the gun...

    Barrel weights.

Errrr yes....spectacularly so. Edge on quartering bird at about 40yds.... 💥💥

    Barrel weights.

I shot 56gm on Sunday when my Browning Double discharged. Does this count? 🤔
