    British-made bespoke gun box

Good afternoon everyone! I've been looking for a gun box for the back of the car for a while now, and ideally needed something that would accommodate both the 58KG Mastiff and the 5KG Yorkshire terrier, as well as having enough storage for a couple of guns and all the usual accessories. Having...

    Single vision glasses (short sighted)

Hello! Happy to help - apologies re the contact form, that's an odd one! If you'd like to send me a copy of your prescription to [email protected] I can give you some advice/quotes etc. As Will said, I make lenses for Pilla and Randolph Engineering which are at the premium end. Optilabs and...

Sporting Shoots; where- and how was it? (2018)

Well, he's a sponsor's dream and no mistake! If there was a way to further publicly destroy one's already shredded reputation, bravo. Oh, and bloody well shot Will!

    Progressive Promotion

Hello everyone!  A couple of months ago, Pilla launched their new series of blended tinted lenses called "Progressives". There are five filtrations, two for low light, the Lemon and Lime (!) a Max Orange and two fruit-free lenses, the Purple Neutraliser and the Enhanced Definition. RRP on...

    New Pilla Sebring X6

XLW is a nice product, good lenses and inexpensive - we've done quite a few of them. The Sebring X6 is a different beast as it's aimed at the rx market - the XLW can only have a prescription insert rather than fully glazed prescription lenses. There are two sides options, a cable version and...

    Pilla confusion

Happy to help - it can be a bit of a minefield and they are pricey bits of kit. £300 for a lens and a frame is about par although there can be some good eBay gear around, as long as the lenses aren't scuffed Having said that, they are significantly cheaper over here than anywhere else. If you...

Randolph Sporter clip-ons or Castellani experience

Hi Matt - the Ranger Sporter is a great product. Really well made and last for years. The clip on system is very good too and as long as the prescription lenses are made well, there shouldnt be any glare/reflection from the back of the clips. They make them in two sizes, 62mm and 57mm - for...

FSB / Nick Penn - Shooting both eyes open.

Perhaps the video has been edited in an unflattering way, I'll concede that.  However, giving a student a "method" to shoot a ten yard incomer and suggesting they miss due to spinal drag, whilst also indicating the likes of Dave Carrie and Allan Warren just guess where they're shooting is also...

FSB / Nick Penn - Shooting both eyes open.

The part where he says that a right handed left eye dominant shooter may miss a high driven bird because as they raise the gun up higher "the body tightens and pulls to the left" is just such abject hogwash it would be funny if he wasn't seriously selling this advice to paying clients...

FSB / Nick Penn - Shooting both eyes open.

As the late Carl Sagan said, "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence". This chap does make some very strong claims for himself and his methodology - I find it both surprising and disappointing that this sort of misinformation made it past the cutting room floor and was distributed...

From contacts to prescription lenses or RX insert?

Hi Gaz, If you've already got an insert its well worth trying it out, unless your prescription is high, or you have a lot of astigmatism (the CYL part on your prescription copy) PM me the details and i'll be happy to give you some costs and options Ed

    Prescription Shooting glasses

That's a pretty low to moderate level of short sightedness so we're pretty much good to go with any brand. Some prescriptions can only go in certain frames but here we're fine!
