    Fore end grip

I did notice a shooter doing that recently ! I thought it was due to him picking his nose before he closed his gun ! You live and learn ! 🙂

    Wanted Chokes

There were some Briley extended chokes to fit STANDARD Invector, on Guntrader.

    Winchester 101XTR Ejector timing

I have taken the woodwork off the metal on the forend, it is only 3 screws. Make a note OF WHICH SCREW GOES WHERE ! That way they should go back and line up with the factory made marks. My gun has 2 sets of woodwork, Trap and Sporting, I fitted the Trap woodwork to try it but went back to the...

    Winchester 101XTR Ejector timing

I would be tempted to take the gun to a Gunsmith, there are several things that can affect ejector timing.

    Miroku MK60

I think the MK 60 and MK70 were always intended to be a 'game' gun, suitable for clays. Whereas the MK 38's were intended as a 'Clay' gun, suitable for game. The current Miroku 'High Bird' guns are based around the MK 60, usually with a 6mm 'game' rib. If you feel happy with the gun, then buy...

    ported barrels

Most certainly some of the Olympic Trap disciplines, I'm not sure about the Skeet. I recently bought a gun with ported barrels, it was made in the late 80's when they were 'in vogue' ? When I first got the gun it smacked me in the face something wicked, having now tinkered with the fit of the...

    Tramlines Who?

Sold a pigeon grade Trap last year ! It made less than £500. It seems the " Yer can't get parts" brigade have been playing a blinder. 😂

    Been away..................................quite a while.

Yes, I have just bought a Classic Doubles (101) . It had been a 'sleeper' until I woke it up. I am shooting reasonably well with it and I love using it. It does 'flop' open, but at my age, it fits in with my lifestyle where most things are drooping ! 😂

    It’s been emotional..

I wish you all the best in your part time post, doing something that I believe you love doing. Stay safe and best wishes, Westley.

    Tramlines Who?

I could just imagine John's reply if you rang and asked him if he had "Any spare ribs" ! 😆

    Tramlines Who?

I am shooting an old gun, in fact a 'vintage' model. It does not have any tramlines on the rib.......... I suspect that Dr. Beeching was around when the gun was made ! 😉

    Tramlines Who?

I have a Franchi Barrage Trap and that has a bright red line down the tramlines on the rib. Took a bit of getting used to though, I kept waiting for the 'green' light to appear before pulling the trigger ! 😊

    Tighter choke for newbies?

So did I ! I stopped when I was about 18 though. That was over 60 years ago. 😄

    Tighter choke for newbies?

    Do you honestly care ?

    Tighter choke for newbies?

Old certainly.........Wise....hhhmmmmm, but stick 2 x 1/4 in and just shoot the damned thing. Unless you are shooting 'fast trap' ? Then use an auto ! 😊

    What did you do today?

Can't remember the word for it up here, but I think it begins with an F ! 🤔

    Wanted Briley chokes

So was I ! However, I did manage to get my hands on 2 x Briley 1/4 flush chokes at £10 each. These are now in the gun and they are mincing clays, so, they are staying in. If you got the chance to get flush chokes, get them, and then keep searching for extended. Alternatively, buy new.

    Wood type ?

    The wood was Walnut.

    Wood type ?

I have just sold a 300 semi auto, that had oiled wood when I bought it. I totally refurbished the gun, wood included, which came up very well with my homemade Alkanet root oil. I have stripped several varnished stocks, and oiled them, over the years. It is not difficult, just do NOT try and...

20 gauge - 7.5 or 8 shot? for my daughter

IF, you can not find any used chokes, just buy a Briley 20 bore 1/4 or I/C flush choke new, from Chris Potter guns. They are not too expensive. 2 chokes the same, regardless of what they are, saves faffing around with the safety catch, leaving 1 less thing to worry about.
