Decent reg sporting peters out pretty quickly North of Stafford. A few 100 sportings about but not registered although there are grounds that could very well put on some cracking shoots the North appears to be trap type disciplines. :(

Last thing in the world to buy would be a UK based shooting ground or in fact any European shooting ground. Perhaps a nice hand built gun for 25k or so and with the other 975000 I could shoot in style at any ground in the world for several lifetimes in between sailing, flying and travelling to...

Oakedge was glorious in the sunshine! I only shot the sporttrap ( 4 rounds ) just breaking the new gun in. Love how the kills are back up. The gun definitely works for me. Traffic  on the M6 was a nightmare but the run back using all the back roads was a hoot!

Chopped in the Perazzi today and crossed to the dark side.   I only took it out for a little test run and of course I mullered everything I  pointed it at so it kinda stuck.   I just don't learn.            

You'll notice I said 'could' have. Setting up a shoot these days will cost you a wad of readies.

Although there are some that believe that birds only is a pox on competition shooting there are those of us who believe it has rescued a lot of shoots from folding. For some the extra £5 'given away' on a Sunday into a fund they have no chance of winning nor for that fact desire to participate...

Buy used whatever you do. You lose VAT and another 10% when you walk out the door with a new gun and if it's one of the B,B,M group it's unlikely to be a complete dog so will retain almost all of the value you paid for it.
