    why ?

I bought a Zoli Kronos this year from Fawcetts, the original importer, brand new been on the shelf for 15 years. It really is an excellent shotgun to shoot and very well enginered too. They have never been marketed very well in the U.K but in the U.S.A. they are sold as a premium gun which to...

    694 Problem

Have to disagree, he bought the gun from the dealer. Not from GMK.

    694 Problem

I think that you will find that very few gun stocks are sealed on the inside at all 😲 Most shotguns that I've bought have always been poorly finished ie; a lack of sealant or any finish at all once you remove the stock.

Good to hear that you are shooting it well. I just could not get on with the level of recoil but they are a bargain and seem to have no problems.

    My first (Budget) gun

Martin, why buy a shotgun which at least 35 years old? When spares are difficult to source too. ATA seem to be reliable and not expensive and have a three year warranty too.

What annoyed me is that the shop had three buyers wanting the gun at the same time. It would have been better for me to sell it like an auction 😐

Lead Shot Ban, in news again

That would be ok for me, I've shot 24gm for years. Ed Solomons mentioned in one of his videos that clay shooting will still be using lead.

Bluing on a 725 Pro Sport

I shot the Pro Sport for a couple of years the blacking was fine. The fore-end wood had very figured wood and actually had three hairline cracks which a local furniture factory repaired for £20.

Bluing on a 725 Pro Sport

I've had three black action guns, Renato Gamba, Kemen, Pro Sport. The worst was a Blaser F3 to be honest, a mate with very sweaty hands had a go with it and his fingerprints were very visible when I got home and cleaned it. Silvo took the worst marks off. If I had known he had a problem he would...

Bluing on a 725 Pro Sport

Not at all Joff, I expect perfection too but a few gun dealers out there are just after a quick sale and the quality varies between manufactories. ps the last British bike I bought was a 2nd hand 1959 Velocette Venom. £35 in 1966.

Bluing on a 725 Pro Sport

I nearly bought a nearly new Pro Sport in June, the one with an adjustable comb. When you lifted the comb up the wood where it had been cut had not been stained and was white. The finish on the stock and fore-end looked as if had been applied with a yard brush one should expect a much better...

I very briefly had a Pro Black, stock finish is terrible to be honest, trigger pulls not that good really and it was a stout kicker with me 😧 Back up from the importer is good though and factory extended chokes are only £25 each. I lost £500 on it😨 I can recommend a s/hand Zoli Kronos gun...

    https://www.shootclayforum.com/topic/68537-24g-cartridges-for-a-newbie/24g cartridges for a newbie

I used to shoot 24g RC2's a few years ago, they were a quite soft recoiling cartridge to me, they must have changed something. Another very soft one were Hull pinks in 28g, then they changed the recipe and they were stout kickers after that. I started just shooting 24g over 15 years ago due to...

Probably, I don't like recoil and there is a difference between 24g and 28gm.

Eley Select 24gm are very good either plaswad or fibre for a newbie or an old fella like myself.😉

    Miroku MK38 Grade 5 Trap Invictus Multi-Choke vs Fixed 3/4 / Full

I would buy a Browning Trap One instead of a grade 5 Miroku. The Browning will shoot steel , multi choked, adjustable trigger and the stock is a lot stronger than the fragile grade 5 wood which will more than likely break sometime.
