    Helice,, zz,

I spoke with Teresa at A1 this morning. Their Helice season runs March through September/October, and they would be happy to put on a day for us next year. She asked that it be mid-week, that we give as much notice as possible, and that we field at least 6 people to warrant closing it off from...

    Helice,, zz,

A1 is nearest to me, but they're closed today. Will ask tomorrow and report back.

    Helice,, zz,

Matt, does the organiser get to nominate which nation the championship is for? Kidding. Sadly, I can imagine a shooting ground would want more than 5 or 6 warm bodies...

    Helice,, zz,

ShootClay Helice meet up event? How many people do you need to make it viable for a ground to put on an event?

    Helice,, zz,

I tried the practice day at A1 a few months back, and thoroughly enjoyed myself, hitting 8/10 and missing the first two. "Free coaching" available to us first timers from he very kindly others present, including TinkerBell loudly shouting "think cobra, not python!" from the back somewhere, but...

    Visiting Brescia and Beretta

Thanks for all the information and suggestions. Westley, if the "where are you?" question is at me, I live in Royston, but for the purposes of this, I'm in Switzerland: my office is close to the borders with Liechtenstein and Austria, with Italy not too far away - some 350km to the Beretta...

    Visiting Brescia and Beretta

Hi there, a question for you Beretta owners, and more generally for Italian gun owners. A colleague of mine has a Beretta shotgun and is unhappy with the stock.  He is under the impression that in return for the necessary sum of money, Beretta might provide him another one that is more suited...

    Winter Gun

What Jim said. Buy another one the same and "make" it your winter gun. And your missus may not notice you have two!

    Cyber glasses

I'll see your Oakleys, Randolphs, Pillas, etc. and laugh as I don my new cyber, Android powered super-glasses.  Just waiting for the brain/trigger interface that will prevent me from ever missing a clay again. $1000 expected price, but it's got to be worth it...

what did you pick out of your dinner tonight?

Nic, you're no fun sometimes! Thread drift seems to be a fine tradition here, I was merely dabbling at same. And anyway, you know I use FB on your recommendation!

what did you pick out of your dinner tonight?

Look like peppercorns to me. Now I know what FBlack cartridges are filled with.  But what the heck are the Blu ones? Sorry. I'll get my coat.

    Unannounced visits from the police?

I don't have a problem with someone coming to the house to check my security arrangements, unannounced or not.  In fact, if it is a productive visit, I wouldn't mind at all, as reviewing my arrangements every so often cannot be a bad thing to beat complacency.  I'd like the confidence to be sure...

    part ex

If you're getting the Fabarm from an RFD, ask whether they'll take your two in part-ex? The rate you'll get may not be as good as of you sell both separately and privately, but the cashflow might work better. From memory, Fabarm are linked to/owned by Guerini, so a CG dealer might help you out...

The spark's created from the static electricity generated by the tail swishing back and forth. It's yer basic science, innit?
