Friday 9am for me in the Sporting and 3pm for Sportrap with Nicky T.

They'll definately not run out of clays, they can re use the ones I miss.

Iggy.

Just looked at the weather forcast for Wrexam, so far, thursday, Friday and Saturday look like being dry with little wind........fingers crossed!!!

Just wondering what the grounds like as I've never shot there, I see the clubhouse is very nice but whats the sporting course like ?

It's very open moorland scenery with only a few trees. So the course tends to be based around making the targets themselves quite challenging, rather than relying on the background for interest. I usually think its quite a tough course. Fauxdegla is also renowned for having its own weather system, which can play havoc with already trick targets, particularly if it's windy. Fortunately the weather forecast is looking relatively benign for the weekend. I just hope it lasts. We actually had snow up there during a competition in May this year!

It's a good facility with some of the tastiest catering!

No don,t think so!
Could be a change of plan, weather looking good for weekend so might shoot the bo at fauxdegla after all, only thing is i can,t seem to book it online everytime i click on book it takes me back to main page

Tony - look on the front page, they suggest contacting Clare at the ground for late entries.

I've been caught out by the weather there before, forecast said sunny for Wrexham and all north wales, 3" of snow fell at the SG during the day :D

If you want keep an eye on the weather I think the nearest weather station is at Treuddyn, which is around 5 minutes drive from Fauxdegla, although it is a bit lower than the shooting ground itself. I've got that plugged in to the 'Weather Now' weather app on my iPhone. The thing about Fauxdegla though is if you don't like the weather then just stick around for half an hour! Dress for all eventualities.

Optima, there are late entries available on Thursday & Friday, ring Fauxdegla or Clare on her mobile.

Just spoke to a mate who called there today said it looks a good course nothing silly but something for everyone, he watched Mr Digweed shoot at mo he's leading 112/120 then S Lovatt 110/120, but was quite windy there today, he told me that weather looks like a lot calmer for anyone shooting saturday so fingers crossed. Anyone fancy a meet up for a coffee and a chat before or after the shoot as it would be nice to meet you. :) I'm shooting at11am
