In a certain Oxford gun shop a few years ago, I had a bad time. Crazy advice, surly service when I politely challenged it. Horrible..

I have shot a 30'' for many years and although I have tried a 32'', I personally would not buy one. I found they certainly steady the shot and have great pointability but I found they also slowed me down quite considerably. Whilst at High Lodge the other week, I played around with my 25'' barrels on the 3200 and shot at all the targets throughout the 22 stands. Some were missed and hit when I switched to my wifes 30'' trap gun. This happened on about 4 stands where the scores were much improved whereas with the short barrels, I found myself shooting faster at the targets.

I was quite supprised just how many of the clays were easily broken with the skeet barrels as I have not shot at sporting targets with this type of gun since the very late 70's when many of the competitors were using skeet guns for sporting.

I really believe what goes on in between the ears has a great deal to do with your results just as it always has done.

Is the difference more to do with weight/speed, or do you have to be a better shot to use a 32"?

Don't worry powenb.........It is all in the head. (Smile friendlylylylyly)

My own personal opinion (for what it is worth from an old woman who currently shoots barrel sizes from 28" to 34") is just put in the cartouces and pull the trigger .....when you are on it.....you are on it. (There is always a lot of fanny on talked about size...........size does not matter (laughs uncontrollably).........)

I have all sorts, from 26" to 32". I find 32" very steady for long birds, 26 to 28" good on fast mooving crossers, But I end up shooting a 30" most of the time because its a good all rounder.
