Thought it would be nice to pop up to Owls Lodge and have a few hours shooting as i was busy on Sunday ...

After a cracking breakfast :), i wandered off to try some sporting

Not one of my finer days i have to say, talk about cross eyed and ham fisted,

Simple stuff, incommers, slow crossers, driven, most of them missed, with the od break here and there ..pah!

In most cases, attempts to get on them, by taking them again were just action replays of the first miss. pretty poor really :blind:

Had a couple of rounds of OT to finish,  managed to  get a PB of 6  though :)

Strange discipline, cant hit much, but it's strangly addictive

:santa:

Try shooting on an empty stomach, and have a big lunch after, you may be surprised!

I have witnessed worse than 6

Ot is not a discipline you can just have a go at unless your prepared to be devastated. As you say it is addictive.

Their breakfast is very good. Now dieting, it will be hard work watching others eat it next Saturday.

Oh yes, I forgot, all that walking round with a bag of lead burns off precisely one full english breakfast. ?

Maybe the gun isn't shooting where you're looking, if you're missing all kinds of targets there has to be something fundamentally wrong, maybe an eye issue.

Yes, it would be good to see you shoot, Santa. Sometimes there are just bad days. If you shoot everything swing through, a day where your tempo is up or down will cause chaos.

I had a shocker today at Owls Lodge. OK, I know it's the third gun I've held in recent times, but shot two stands in particular with mostly empty cartridges it seems. Despite that, if I survive suicide watch tonight, I'll be out tomorrow, living in hope. Get back on the horse.

Full circle Steve! I have gone back to the Perazzi this week. The plan is to stick with it, but my head thinks I'm shooting a Berblazzi, so a period of readjustment is on the cards which I do hope is shorter than my will to live. ?

I'm a Blaser fan. If I was in the market to buy now, I would likely get one. I find the trigger blade a bit basic and the butt pad is dreadful. Otherwise very good, fully adjustable. I'm back to P gun because it's there. I can make a Blaser feel very similar..

Which stand?,  it looked like it was set up for the reg comp when i was up there...

I think the other thing that didnt help me, was shooting on my own,  ive got used to the voices in my head now ;)

My last two stands. The one furthest from clubhouse in far left corner. Sim l-r pair. Having screwed that up I was cross and just failed to impress on the one next to it, incoming edgey dropper o/r floppy away.

On Tuesday, the ones i can recall missing were ...

The lazy incomers on the first stand on the right in the sporting section

The incomer dropping over the bank on the LHS

The driven off the tower

The fast Battue on the stand to the right of the driven tower ..

Need i go on ;)

Think i may need to call on the services of Mr Ed at some time

:santa:
