I was offered an apprenticeship there when I was 15...toured the factory at Kensel Green etc...I think a Royal Deluxe was about £45k at the time.

You can actually get a Purdey now, for about £28k...and it's a sporting clays gun.

I looked at a beautiful H and H Royal at the Game Fair. I think it was £96 thousand.....

And no that definitely wasn't the price for a pair.

My instructor actually went to the Perazzi factory and had one made for him....so he told me anyway.
