There are going to be people tonight, that have shot this, looking at the results thinking WTF, how can that be right.

I have shot like a demon and got nothing, when Jimmy sh*tshot has shot like a tosser and got into the finals.

As you say Ian you need to keep your eyes and ears open when out and about, and you may learn a bit more than just shooting.

We were out at a mid-week shoot this week and one of the comments made (while having a coffee) by one of the group(not me I hasten to add).....was that there are to many people (shooters and ground owners) that now have their own agendas.

It strikes me that whichever way its done there are going to be those that are pissed off.

To my mind the top scorers on each qualifying day go forward to the finals as they were the best on their day.

If you book early you can get your choice of day and time!

The rules are the rules, shoot the best of the day and you get through.

The other alternative is to let a few more through to the finals day.

It's just a cash cow by getting you back to shoot on the Sunday your more likely to shoot the side shoots the whole setup is wrong, every one and anyone should not be able shoot the British Open you should qualify by shooting county shoots the top 10 in each class should go forward for the British open .

There are to many classes look at other events no junior ,lady ,veteran, disabled categories in the British open Darts or Snooker

( should we have a disabled class in British GP ) might stand a chance on the scooter

Again it comes down to the CASH for the CPSA there wouldn't be enough for them

Deershooter

"everyone and anyone should not be able to shoot the British open"...then it would not be a British OPEN Deershooter, it would be a English closed to non CPSA members and/or residing outside England shoot!!!

Why so much negativity? 1100ish people booked in to shoot it, people traveled from all over the UK, Ireland and even parts of Europe to shoot it, most will have enjoyed it, yet all a tw*t like you can do is moan and cry like a spoiled child about it!!!

The sport needs to grow. The wording British Open is just that a Open Shoot held in Britain.

I would even put in a Pro / Am class.

This was brilliant to shoot ( I shot it terrible due to personal issues so no sleep) the best organised I'v been too and I wish the winner the very best whoever that is.

I don't like the idea much of having to go back on Sunday due to the large distances some have to travel.

what have I missed?

what have I missed?
It's all on FB. Fair play to everybody, some have shot exceptionally well TODAY, and fully deserve it.

Looking at the bigger picture, still don't seem right for me..... But people must make their own minds up.

So for us not on Facebook what happened?

dont seem right that a C class finalist hits 13 and a AAA hit 68 shooting same targets. Must have been sole destroying.

Where can I find out who did what, ? Had a few friends in amongst it,  tried looking but no luck.    Cheers

Darkside you need to stay tho other side of the wall the only good thing that comes out of Scotland is the A74 South it's chumps  like you we don't need ,everyone is entitled to a opinion

go forth and multiply

I imagine the shooter on 13 retired as there are a lot of blank stands. There is an asterisk by the score which is not explained.

I believe that the poor guy had been co-opted onto the aforementioned committee and as such was required to attend yet another meeting, thus being prevented from finishing the shoot ! Still, there was the consolation of coffee and biscuits, Oh, and bottled water.

They aren't blank  they are no birds hit.  If he had not shot them they would be completely empty.  Asterisk means they classed him and good on him for keeping going and finishing the shoot.
