And yes the gun was broken when i bought it thay said when I took it it was an intermittent thought and if it happens again bring it back and it would be sent to gmk and they will courier it back but now i will probably have to collect it thay should not have sold it nowing there is even a chance there's something wrong just a bit disappointed with the service
I am confused.

You buy a gun having been told it had a fault then seem somewhat suprised that the fault occurred.

Retailer should have sent it to be fixed before selling it on. You should not have bought it knowing it was faulty.

End of.

And yes I did think it was fixed and my moan is thay should have sent it back before thay sold it to make sure it was and then to make me wait 3 weeks is out of order

As ips said, you bought the gun with knowledge of the fault. The fault then occurred and the gun needs sent off for repair. This must have been expected to happen at some point.

My opinion is that it's GMK that you should be chasing, quite hard by the sounds of it.

Chris Potter's are not at fault. Yes they knew about the fault, but they made sure that you did, and then you still bought the gun. Again, it is GMK that are causing the hold up not CPs.

Absolutely yes they should have. My apologies I assumed you had accepted it knowing it still had a fault.

If they buy in a used gun, they don't shoot it.

So they have bought in a used gun and been told by the owner, that it "sometimes" has an issue with the ejector.
I would imagine they tried it with snap caps, several times but had no problems.
Then you wanted to buy it, so they told you what they know and offered to sort it for you, if the problem turns up.

Chris Potters have done right by you, but GMK have let you both down.

After 100 shots my Beretta A400 bent the O ring on the top hat. It was fairly obvious and myself and Forseys could see the problem.

All I needed was a replacement seal which would have taken a minute to fix.

Unfortunately it had to go back to GMK to be checked, then replaced and then tested.

In all it took 4 weeks, not Forseys fault but annoying none the less.

3 weeks is a pain especially when it is a premium model not really Mr Potters fault although i guess he sold the gun so i would always expect the guy who took my money to solve any issues. And yes Hamid my Miroku always plays up too so certainly not as reliable as the 682 gold e i owned for 8 years and cleaned about 2/3 times in all that time rain or shine.

one word      miroku  !
Two words. Caesar Geurini

:)

Seriously though, poor service is not something I associate with Chris Potters. They are in an upmarket town, paying probably top rates for their shop but their prices are reasonable, in fact lower than some places in nearby towns. They hold a range of guns right up to the 'lottery win' range but treat all of their customers like valued clients imho.

Knowledgable sales people, no pressure selling, let you take a gun to try it out, good range of equipment.

Sorry, but I'm with Shaun and Skeet on this one.

3 weeks is not good service and you hit the nail on the head he had my money and he told me it would be a week that is my moan and I have not been shooting Ararar!!!!

Some Beretta repairs go back to Italy, so expect it back when you get it.

Potters are used to Perazzi turn around times, (but they dont play up as much)...

You knowingly bought the gun with intermittent fault, Potters told you, they could have said nothing, they have returned to the importer for what should be an easy repair, but could be one thats hard to trace. If it was an easy fix it would have been done by Potters, so go fishing till its mended...

i agree if they told you a week and now it's been 3 i would be pissed as well, the other circumstances don't come into it.

problem is that GMK are sh*te,mine went back for a new barrel and they tried palming me of with another damaged one!

at least they could have done is loaned you a gun.

moral of the story is that Berretta's aint what they used to be and there importer is crap!

We seem to get both good and poor comments about GMK but on balance the poor tend to outweigh the good.

They also seem to choose to import a low style of stock which does not suit many.

I suppose they feel they are safe in their position being sole importer.

The Beretta e-shop puts them to shame on service standards though obviously that can't be used for guns, mores the pity!

Had a phone call today and it back in there shop so know got to skive of to pick it up won't be able to get out until Sunday can't wait hopefully this will be the last problem let's keep them crossed!

To recap.

Are we saying that it has taken four weeks to send your gun to GMK , have it repaired and returned to you?

I would not buy a gun that had a known fault regardless of make.I would also not expect any dealer to sell one. I have dealt with potters over the years and always found them very good.As for the timescale gmk get blamed for taking weeks to turn repairs around but do we always know that the dealer sent the gun off the very next day or could it have been that gmk never actually received the gun for anything up to a week later Then takes its place in the queue.

when i had the problem with mine,i showed it to there gunsmith at the Berretta world.

he helpfully said there was nothing he could do there not even assess th fault then refused to take it back with him the 5 miles down the road to there premises.

so i had to drive 30 miles to the shop where i bought it and then 30 miles to collect it,120 miles in total.

i had to do this twice as they tried to fob me off with another sh*te barrel with loads of machining marks.

so 240 miles intotal over approx 2 months to sort out a problem that should never been allowed to get past quality control.

so that was approx 5 hours of my time and 25gbp of fuel.

GMK are just total sh*te and i am surprised that they manage to keep the Berretta brand.
