This ^^^^ My mate's just bought one, an older (1985 vintage) S682 Gold sporter with a trap stock. Bloody gorgeous it is too.The 682 is indestructible, the 682e is that and shootable too. The main difference is lighter barrels on the latter achieved by removing a bit of rib from the chamber forward up to around where the fore end wood ends. They have no real vices, you could argue the triggers aren't top class but then the gun costs around a third of competitors guns it regularly beats.
If you're not careful it is possible to swipe the barrels selector from bottom to top barrel as you flick the lever across but that's easily avoidable either by filing it down or simply being aware. The many pluses include chromed metal work and barrel internals meaning they won't rust if you forget to clean them. They are also like legal tender, you can sell them without any effort at all.
