Change of licence normally takes 2weeks dealer said takes about a week for import permit so when I get the licence should be good to go

My Dt11 has the blue stripe coming of the action on both sides. Spoke to GMK and they said to to take it to my dealer and they will get it collected and have a look at it. The guy in the workshop said that this was the first one that it's happened to but I spoke to Andy the owner of Stockcrafts and he said that he had this problem with one he'd sold to a customer after about a month and GMK replaced it with a new action but the same wood. For the record I emailed John Neville the owner of Neville guns in Derbyshire and he told me to bring the gun in and he would send it back to GMK. I asked would he able to provide me with a replacement and he said that he hasn't got a second hand Dt11 but would be happy to lend me another gun. The response I've had from John at Neville's has been first class. Top bloke.

don't want to say i told you all so but i said when they 1st came out that the blue stripe would not last, just like the browning GT thing didn't.

just saying.

Although I hate to admit it , DT 11's are very good guns , but I can't stand that " BLUE " stripe , it's just an insult to the beauty of the rest of the gun .

While I'm on the subject of the modern trend of " Joseph and his multi-coloured dream gun " , I have a real dislike of the coloured rings on the end of extended chokes as well.

DT 11's don't have coloured rings on the chokes...

I've had my DT11 for several weeks now, only shot it once so far, been busy trying to get the stock oiled properly, I've never known a stock to take so much oil! Anyway as far the stripes go, well I've got to the point that, to be honest about it, I don't even notice the the things any more! Having said that, I still think it would look nicer if the action was black with gold lettering/stripes. The original DT10's had a black action, they looked very classy as far as I'm concerned.

So did the stripes come off in flakes or in big bits? Do you think its some sort of paint or is it some sort of sticker? Just curious in case it happens to mine!

I think it's paint. Sorry about the late reply. GMK replaced the action and the barrels within 10 days and I picked it up from Neville's on Saturday. Say what you want about GMK but I've had a fantastic service from them. Also I would like to say a big thank you to Neville's of Alfreton Derbyshire who loaned me a K80 supersport with absolutely no hassle at all. Johns response to when I asked him for a loan gun was, take any second hand gun you want in the shop. After care service at its best. Thanks John.

That's what you call customer service,

John Dunne and Mark Neville are top blokes

That's very good to hear, I like the guys at Neville's and often make the trip over there to buy shells.

I must also agree about GMK, I've had a few issues with my 692 but turnaround has always been within about 1 week.

Good service is always very welcome but I would be more concerned about the need for good service?

To quote Iggy "I've had a few issues with my 692". Not sure what those 'issues' are exactly but surely this is not acceptable on any new gun, especially from the likes of Beretta??

You're right DT, it shouldn't happen on a new gun especially with an RRP over £3k.

The problems I had centred around the top lever, with its new fangled composite coating catching on the stock. I would open the gun to remove the empties and reload but the lever wouldn't snap closed and remained in the open portion. GMK had it back, repaired it and it lasted a few weeks before coming back. It went back again and so far it seems to be ok after the second repair, so I'll just have to see how it goes.

Several reasons why I've not already chopped it in, largely because I'd lose too much money but also despite its problems I'm shooting better with it than I ever have before so it obviously suits me and it feels right in the hands. Its on its last warning however and if the top lever does start playing up again I'll no doubt be having a serious conversation with Premier Guns who supplied it.

Like I said earlier, GMK have been good as have PG but if it does go again, as much as I like it, I suspect my confidence will be dented beyond repair and it'll have to go.

Many years ago I had a new 682X trap,a great gun. Whilst it was under warrantly the bottom barrel ejector suffered a mis timing issue. I called GMK, or Gunmark as it was called back then, they told me to send it back via my dealer or take it to them direct. Well as it happened I was going to be in their area the next day, so I went in with the gun. Gordon Swatton was the gunsmith there at the time and he sorted it on the spot in about 15 minutes!!!! Great service!!!

Yes its an easy fix you hit it with a hammer, but the skill is knowing were to and how hard too :)

Gunmark used to have a loyalty van at Bywell English DTL open years ago and would do minor things like that there and then for free or a very small charge, wonder what happened to trade stands like that, you don't seem to get them at trap events anymore.

No idea about DTL events but GMK still have one at the Beretta world, they sorted my ejector timing and replaced the top bolt for the cost of parts.

It was less than £20 but just gave him £20 as I am so decadent  :spiteful:
