Just to let everyone know that on Monday 8th July the Beretta Championship course will be available for a practice round. There are no prizes and you button for yourselves. You can,on this day shoot with any make of gun, however it is fibre wads only. First entry is at 9am and we will take entries until 2pm. The cost is £35.00 for 120 birds.

Regards Bob

That's a good idea to let those with proper guns shoot the course after its finished :) shame its not a bank holiday else I would have had a go :(

Presumably if you beat HG with your non-Beretta they take your score card from you before giving you a ruffling up behind the toilet block.

As a first timer to the Beretta Worlds what shall I expect before arriving??

Obviously a well run clay shooting competition!!

I expect GMK to have a trade/demo gun display, Is there any other trade stands?

Also as my group are taking our wife's with us is there a picnic area or place for them to socialise whist we are shooting?

At Meon Springs - there was an area for people to relax and picnic - and a couple of trade stands - one for GMK, and one by Wiltshire Rod and Guns, who do an excellent range of kit - lots of Beretta stuff obviously.

Not sure about the new location - so your experience might be different.

It is a great fun competition - despite horrendous conditions last year, I really enjoyed it - good targets and a great atmosphere.. hope the new location works for them.

I can't do it this year because I'm off to Madrid next week, so need a weekend at home.

Everyone I have ever spoken to about it have said its a great event. I am really looking forward to it.

My first time shooting it as well although have watched before and last year was extremely muddy so whatever they say the weather is going to be like be prepared for everything.  Some folk last year were up to their shins in mud and wearing trainers!

Looking ahead at the weather it (should be) 23-25'degrees, saying that I'll pack my wellington's just in case.

It was like shooting in the Somme last year, ankle deep in mud - I shot Meon Springs twice in 4 days, both days were like shooting in a Car Wash - that said, weather forecast looks lovely.

Don't forget your SPF50!

Shooting it tomorrow with a proper gun. Will report how it was at the new venue late tomorrow night. Facilities etc., Remember guys it is Fibre Wad only, NO Exceptions.

And who are you borrowing that "proper gun" from :)
Hopefully the facilities are an improvement on Meon Springs, just got the feeling last few years that not quite enough there for the full day of 360 shooters plus groupies.
