He has half a dozen proper guns at least, no need to borrow when you have an armoury of MK38s :)

Shooting it tomorrow with a proper gun. Will report how it was at the new venue late tomorrow night. Facilities etc., Remember guys it is Fibre Wad only, NO Exceptions.
Proper gun????!!! You using a Beretta then - if not I know where there's one you can borrow! :haha:

Thursday is just a dress rehearsal, pretend day, make sure everything is ok. ;)

The real guns turn up from friday through til sunday :D

For Sale

A presentation gun made in the Beretta Custom Department as a gift from Michele Alboreto to myself  hand engraved Woodcock adorned, fabulous wood, 32" barrels. £ 52,000 o.v.n.o.

I will NOT be shooting it today.

Of course I WILL be shooting a Miroku MK38 Grade 5  with stunning wood.

Looks forward to the weather and conditions report as I am there saturday morning.
Weather was glorious sunshine and definitely no wellies required. Be aware that our sat nat tried to take us down a road that was closed so allow extra 10 minutes when travelling there. Food was good but not many tables and chairs to eat on and absolutely no shade when shooting or eating so sunscreen needed.

As for targets, all very good but nothing rangy. Very quick targets with variety of angles, majority of targets in the woods, not dissimilar to Weston wood targets. The course setters were only allowed to use black or white clays? so all the white targets are in the woods and black clays in the sky. No driven targets whatsoever! and only one rabbit stand.

Had the pleasure of shooting on Cheryl Hall's squad and she shot a superb 110 which was leading when we left.

Have fun to whoever is shooting on sat/sun

just back from this event

firstly any one going would be better to input swanmore village and cott rd instead of postcode i did and got straight in no hassle .

what a fantastic estate this is , really well kept and an interesting piece of ground for a shoot .

i had a good day with the old 682 supersport with comb raiser taped on ,ended on 108 with 5 really easy clays missed ,2 rabbit loopers hit the first 2 pair decided to kill it properly and then shot in front ,then did exactly the same on the next battue stand and then a really close crosser with overhead simo thought give it 2 foot and it was straight at it so left those there but shot the harder stands well good day out

Well shot steve....and thanks for heads up on sat nav im there sunday morning.

Nice place for this shoot , glad there was a bit of woodland to get out of the sun as that was hot there this afternoon !
Nothing at real distance but some sneaky angles to catch you out .. Took me a while to get going with a borrowed DT10 (thanks Rob) but started hitting one or two after I had sussed it out . Ended on 95 .

I thought this was another good set up today, some really good targets. :)

Don't seem to be able to get out of the 66%ish range on these 120 bird shoots. :(

Seems some people don't listen to what you say at booking in, back down to C class today according to the results

Yep ... I had to tell them again at the end . Was looking at score board and my name came up in C class ! .. went to the desk and told them that I'm actually B class.

My first time shooting it as well although have watched before and last year was extremely muddy so whatever they say the weather is going to be like be prepared for everything.  Some folk last year were up to their shins in mud and wearing trainers!
Sure was a wet one thankfully for once I went prepared large brolly included although the three other guys with me were sadly not so, I had a spare brolly in the car but my mate declined the offer saying he didn't feel he would need it as you can imagine the water was running down the cr#ck of his ar5e by the afternoon, have you ever seen about ten desperate grown men trying to huddle beneath a single brolly? its a sad sight :haha:   Although sitting in my garden at half six this morning it looks like it will be a glorious day sunscreen at the ready and good luck peeps.. :hunter:
